Kwara Governor Relieves Special Advisers, Other Aides of Duties
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle, relieving Special Advisers and other political aides of their duties. The move is aimed at creating opportunities for more party members and strengthening the administration.
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle, relieving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary of their appointments.
The decision was announced in a statement issued by the Governor's Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola, who described the exercise as part of efforts to strengthen the administration and broaden participation within the ruling All Progressives Congress. According to the statement, the reshuffle is intended to inject fresh energy into governance while creating opportunities for more party members to contribute to the state's development.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the affected officials for their service and dedication during their time in office. He thanked them for their contributions to the administration and wished them success in their future endeavours.
The governor also directed all affected appointees to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government without delay to ensure a smooth transition.
The reshuffle is expected to pave the way for fresh appointments as the administration seeks to reposition parts of its team ahead of the next phase of governance and improve service delivery across the state.
