Iran ‘Playing with Fire’ After Kuwait Attack — Netanyahu Warns
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran is “playing with fire” after an attack on Kuwait, citing US warnings of renewed military action, stating Israel and US forces are ready.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Iran is “playing with fire” following reports of an attack on Kuwait, escalating already heightened tensions in the Gulf region.
Speaking in an interview with CNBC, Netanyahu referenced recent developments involving attacks linked to Kuwait and Bahrain, questioning whether a ceasefire was still holding in the region.
He noted that the United States President had previously warned that further escalation could trigger a renewed large-scale military response, depending on the situation.
Netanyahu said both Israeli and US forces remained prepared for any further developments, stressing that deterrence measures were already in place.
“You know, it’s the president’s decision. Israel is ready and the US forces are ready,” he said, adding that Iran should carefully consider its actions amid rising tensions.
He warned that continued escalation could have serious consequences, insisting that Iran appeared to be aware of the risks but was still engaging in provocative actions.
“I think they are taking it into account but they’re playing with fire, that’s clear,” he added.
The comments come amid ongoing geopolitical friction in the Middle East, with heightened concerns over potential wider conflict involving regional and global powers.
