Ekiti Guber: South Deserves to Produce Next Governor, Says Aspirant Oluyede
Ekiti State governorship aspirant Oluyede says it is the turn of the southern district to produce the next governor, declaring himself qualified for the job.
An Ekiti State governorship aspirant, Oluyede, has staked his claim to the governorship seat, insisting that it is the turn of the southern part of the state to produce the next governor, while declaring himself qualified for the job.
A governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Oluyede, has declared his interest in the state's top political seat, arguing that equity and fairness demand that the southern senatorial district of the state be allowed to produce the next governor.
Oluyede, who is positioning himself for the governorship race, maintained that the principle of zoning and rotation of power among the senatorial districts of the state should be respected to ensure a sense of belonging and balanced representation.
He argued that the southern part of Ekiti State had been marginalised in the scheme of things over the years, stressing that it was only fair and just for the zone to be given the opportunity to govern the state.
The aspirant declared himself eminently qualified for the job, citing his experience, capacity and vision as credentials that make him a suitable candidate to lead the state and drive its development agenda.
Oluyede expressed confidence in his ability to deliver good governance if given the mandate, pledging to prioritise the welfare of the people and the overall progress of Ekiti State.
He called on political stakeholders, party leaders and the electorate to support the agitation for power shift to the southern district in the interest of equity, justice and political stability in the state.
The aspirant urged the people of Ekiti State to look beyond ethnic and sentimental considerations and elect a candidate with the requisite competence, integrity and commitment to move the state forward.
His declaration adds to the growing list of aspirants jostling for the governorship seat as political activities intensify ahead of the next gubernatorial election in Ekiti State.
Oluyede assured that, if elected, he would run an inclusive administration that would carry along all sections of the state and prioritise developmental projects aimed at improving the lives of the citizens.
