Galatasaray Reduce Osimhen Asking Price to €65m

Galatasaray have reportedly reduced their asking price for Nigeria international Victor Osimhen to €65m amid renewed interest from Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal.

Turkish outlet Haberler, citing Sky Sports, reported that Al Hilal have contacted the Turkish champions to establish the conditions for a possible transfer.

Osimhen only recently completed a permanent move to Galatasaray from Napoli after impressing during his loan spell with the Istanbul club.

According to the report, Galatasaray are no longer completely opposed to selling the striker and would consider a deal if an interested club meets their €65m valuation.

However, any potential transfer would also depend on Osimhen’s decision, with Al Hilal needing to convince the Nigerian forward to move to Saudi Arabia before an agreement can be completed.

Al Hilal are reportedly preparing space for Osimhen by considering the departure of former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

The Saudi club is expected to intensify discussions with Osimhen’s representatives in the coming days as it explores the possibility of bringing the Nigerian striker to the Saudi Pro League.

Osimhen has enjoyed an impressive spell at Galatasaray since arriving from Napoli, scoring 59 goals in 74 appearances across competitions.

His performances have made him one of the club’s most important attacking players and helped Galatasaray strengthen their position as one of the leading teams in Turkish football.

Should Osimhen remain in Istanbul, he is expected to spearhead Galatasaray’s bid for a third consecutive Super Lig title.

The club is currently regarded as the favourite for the domestic championship, with Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Trabzonspor among their leading challengers.

The Turkish league has also witnessed significant attacking reinforcements ahead of the new campaign.

Trabzonspor have reportedly added Mohamed Salah to partner Paul Onuachu, while Fenerbahce have strengthened their attack with Mason Greenwood and Romelu Lukaku.

The arrivals could increase the competition among Turkey’s leading clubs and make Osimhen’s role even more important for Galatasaray.

For now, the striker’s future remains uncertain, with Al Hilal’s reported interest adding fresh speculation over whether he will continue his career in Turkey or make a move to Saudi Arabia.
