Semenyo, Partey Named in Ghana’s World Cup Squad
Ghana have named a 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, with Thomas Partey and Antoine Semenyo included, while Mohammed Kudus and Mohammed Salisu miss out due to injury.
Ghana have unveiled their final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with experienced midfielder Thomas Partey and forward Antoine Semenyo among the headline names selected by head coach Carlos Queiroz.
The Black Stars delayed the announcement of their squad due to injury concerns, but Queiroz has now settled on his final group ahead of the tournament in North America. Ghana will begin their campaign after a warm-up friendly against Wales before travelling to the World Cup.
Partey, one of the most experienced players in the squad, is expected to play a key leadership role in midfield, while Semenyo's inclusion provides Ghana with additional attacking firepower as they prepare for their fifth World Cup appearance.
The squad also features established names such as Jordan Ayew and Inaki Williams, alongside a blend of emerging and experienced talents across all departments.
However, Ghana will be without influential attacker Mohammed Kudus, who failed to recover fully from injury in time for the tournament, while defender Mohammed Salisu also misses out.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama, with hopes of progressing beyond the group stage and improving on previous World Cup performances.
