No Amount of Blackmail Can Stop Adelabu’s 2027 Ambition, Says Aide

Femi Awogboro, media aide to former Minister of Power and Oyo State governorship aspirant Adebayo Adelabu, has dismissed recent criticisms directed at his principal, insisting that no amount of blackmail or coordinated attacks can derail his political aspirations ahead of the 2027 election.

Awogboro described the growing wave of criticism against Adelabu as a familiar political tactic often used against figures whose influence and popularity are on the rise. He argued that the increasing attention being focused on the former minister reflects his relevance in the political landscape of Oyo State.

According to him, opponents have intensified their attacks because they recognise Adelabu as a strong contender in the race for the state’s top office. He maintained that attempts to undermine the APC chieftain through media campaigns and public criticism would ultimately fail, just as similar tactics failed against other politicians who went on to achieve electoral success.

Awogboro further stated that Adelabu continues to enjoy significant support among various groups, including youths, women, professionals, and grassroots party members. He attributed this support to what he described as years of public service, engagement, and commitment to the development of Oyo State.

He also rejected claims that the criticisms could weaken Adelabu’s standing within the All Progressives Congress, insisting that the movement behind the governorship hopeful is driven by genuine public support rather than political propaganda.

The aide urged party members and supporters to remain focused and avoid distractions, expressing confidence that Adelabu would remain a major force in Oyo politics as preparations for the 2027 election gather momentum.
