Labour Party Aspirant Chief Ezeh Picks Nomination Form, Sparks Fresh Political Momentum in Ebonyi
Political activities for 2027 intensify as Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh picks Labour Party nomination form for Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency, pledging service-driven representation in National Assembly.
Political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gathered momentum on Tuesday as Chief Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh officially obtained the Labour Party nomination form to contest for the Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
The development marks the formal beginning of Ezeh’s campaign to represent the constituency at the National Assembly under the platform of the Labour Party.
Speaking shortly after securing the form, Ezeh described his ambition as a mission driven by service, accountability, and a desire to provide purposeful representation for the people of Abakaliki and Izzi communities. He stated that his decision was not motivated by personal gain but by what he called a genuine passion to serve humanity and improve the lives of the people.
The Labour Party chieftain said the growing encouragement from supporters within Ebonyi State and Nigerians in the diaspora strengthened his resolve to join the race despite political challenges. According to him, the movement is about building a “New Nigeria” anchored on transparency, inclusion, and people-oriented leadership.
Ezeh further promised to champion policies that would amplify the voices of ordinary citizens while ensuring effective representation if elected into office. His entry into the contest has already generated reactions among supporters and political observers across the constituency, with many describing it as a fresh push for competitive politics in Ebonyi State.
The latest development comes as political parties across Nigeria intensify preparations and internal processes ahead of the 2027 elections, with the Labour Party currently conducting nomination exercises for various elective positions nationwide.
