Bayern Munich Dismiss Real Madrid Links, Insist Olise Is Not for Sale
Bayern Munich have dismissed speculation linking Michael Olise with Real Madrid, insisting the winger will stay.
Bayern Munich have dismissed reports linking winger Michael Olise with a move to Real Madrid, insisting the France international remains an important part of the club’s plans.
Olise has recently been mentioned as a potential target for the Spanish giants, but Bayern director Christoph Freund has ruled out any possibility of the player leaving the Bundesliga champions.
Speaking to reporters over the weekend, Freund described the speculation as unfounded and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to keeping the 24-year-old.
“This is not a topic for us at all,” Freund said, according to Sky Sports.
“We are delighted that Michael Olise has returned from his holiday, and he will continue to play an important role at Bayern Munich this season, just like last year.”
Olise joined Bayern Munich after an impressive spell in the Premier League and quickly established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players with his creativity, pace and technical ability.
His performances have attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Real Madrid, who are reportedly assessing options to strengthen their attacking department.
The Spanish club has been linked with several wingers during the current transfer window as uncertainty continues to surround the future of Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior, who has reportedly attracted interest from Arsenal.
Reports have also suggested that Real Madrid are working on a move for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as they look to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.
Despite the speculation, Bayern’s latest comments indicate they have no intention of entering transfer discussions over Olise.
The Bundesliga champions are expected to rely heavily on the French winger as they prepare to defend their domestic title and challenge for the UEFA Champions League.
Freund’s statement is likely to end speculation over Olise’s immediate future, with Bayern making it clear that the player remains central to the club’s ambitions for the 2026/27 campaign.
