EPL: Crystal Palace Come Back to Beat Forest; Hull Draw with Everton
Palace beat Forest after trailing, while Hull and Everton shared four goals in a draw.
Crystal Palace came from behind to defeat Nottingham Forest 3-1 in the Premier League on Sunday, while Hull City and Everton played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
At Selhurst Park, Forest took an early lead through Dan Ndoye, who scored in the third minute to give visiting manager Oliver Glasner a promising start on his return to his former club.
Palace responded late in the first half. Daichi Kamada equalised in the 41st minute with his first Premier League goal, before Jefferson Lerma put the hosts ahead in stoppage time.
Yéremy Pino extended Palace’s advantage in the 59th minute, finishing from close range after a rebound to seal the comeback.
Palace goalkeeper Walter Benítez also played an important role, making key saves to deny Forest opportunities to increase their lead before the hosts turned the match around.
The result made for a difficult return to Selhurst Park for Glasner, who guided Palace to the FA Cup in 2025 before leaving the club at the end of the following season. His Forest side had started brightly but were unable to recover after conceding twice before half-time.
Meanwhile, Hull City and Everton shared the points after a four-goal second half at the MKM Stadium.
Hull took the lead in the 48th minute when Joe Gelhardt capitalised on a defensive error. Everton equalised seven minutes later through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who headed home to restore parity.
The visitors moved ahead in the 68th minute as Thierno Barry finished a move involving Dewsbury-Hall. Hull, however, responded six minutes later when substitute Mohamed Belloumi scored to make it 2-2.
The draw extended Everton’s unbeaten start to the league season, while Hull maintained their unbeaten home record since returning to the top flight.
Both matches provided an eventful return to Premier League action following the international break, with Palace securing a comeback victory and Hull earning a point against Everton.
