Atiku-Amaechi Joint Ticket Will Defeat Tinubu in 2027, Assures ADC Spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi
ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi has asserted that the party’s combined 2027 presidential ticket of Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi is powerful enough to unseat President Tinubu, dismissing recent lower court deregistration attempts as political maneuvering ahead of their formal campaign launch.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared supreme confidence in its newly minted presidential pairing, asserting that the joint ticket of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi possesses the structural formidable weight required to decisively end President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration in the 2027 general elections.
The assertion was made by the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, during a live appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today. Defending the party's strategic positioning, Abdullahi described the Atiku-Amaechi combination as a powerhouse partnership that provides a credible, high-caliber governance alternative to the current ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership. The spokesman revealed that the joint ticket was solidified after a competitive, highly transparent party primary where Amaechi initially ran as a presidential aspirant, lost to Atiku, and subsequently accepted the party's vice-presidential nomination slot.
The ADC spokesman also dismissed any lingering anxieties regarding a flashpoint Federal High Court ruling that had briefly ordered the deregistration of the party alongside four other political associations, reassuring voters that the party has successfully navigated the challenge and is legally guaranteed to be on the ballot. Abdullahi added that the ADC was completely unfazed by what he characterized as state-sponsored "political shenanigans" popping up immediately following Amaechi's unveiling. Insisting that all core aspirants who contested the party's platform possessed the administrative capacity to outperform the current administration, the party leadership announced that it is finalizing logistics for a massive, formal presentation ceremony to officially unveil the Atiku-Amaechi ticket to the Nigerian electorate.
