Asogwa Receives Certificate of Return, Predicts APC Victory in Enugu in 2027

Senator-elect for Enugu North Senatorial District, Ikeje Asogwa, has received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will achieve major victories in Enugu State during the 2027 general elections.

Speaking after receiving the certificate, Asogwa attributed his electoral success to what he described as growing public support for the APC, driven by ongoing development projects at both the federal and state levels. He said the visible improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other sectors have increased confidence in the party among residents of the state.

The senator-elect maintained that the APC's performance in government would continue to strengthen its appeal ahead of the next election cycle. According to him, the party is well-positioned to make significant gains in future contests, including the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly elections in Enugu State.

Asogwa also pledged to focus on key areas of development when he assumes office in the Senate. He identified infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment as priorities, promising to pursue initiatives that would improve the welfare of his constituents and contribute to the growth of the district.

INEC presented Certificates of Return to several winners of recent by-elections conducted across the country. During the ceremony, electoral officials urged the successful candidates to justify the confidence reposed in them by the electorate through effective representation and service.

Asogwa emerged victorious in the Enugu North Senatorial by-election after securing a decisive win over his opponents, earning the mandate to represent the district in the Senate.
