Veekee James Defends Frequent Public Appearances With Husband

Fashion designer and entrepreneur Veekee James has responded to criticism over her frequent public appearances with her husband, Femi Atere, insisting that their outings reflect the strong bond they share rather than an attempt to seek public attention. She described her husband as her "personal handbag," saying she enjoys having him by her side wherever she goes.

Speaking during an interview, Veekee dismissed suggestions that they spend too much time together in public, stressing that their relationship is built on genuine friendship and companionship. She said she sees no reason to apologise for enjoying her husband's company, adding that they naturally prefer doing things together whenever their schedules permit.

The celebrity designer noted that some social media users have questioned why the couple are constantly seen together at events, but maintained that their lifestyle is a personal choice. According to her, every marriage is different, and what works for one couple may not necessarily suit another.

Veekee added that she and her husband deliberately prioritise spending quality time together despite their busy careers. She explained that maintaining a close relationship requires intentional effort and expressed appreciation for having a supportive partner who enjoys accompanying her to various engagements.

She encouraged couples to focus on building healthy relationships based on mutual understanding instead of allowing public opinions to dictate how they express affection or spend time together. Veekee said she remains committed to enjoying her marriage without being influenced by online criticism.
