TikToker: I Didn't Film Oloolu, I'm Not Dead

A Nigerian TikTok content creator has dismissed rumours linking him to the controversial Oloolu video and reports of his alleged death, insisting that he neither filmed the footage nor died as widely claimed on social media. The creator described the reports as false and urged the public to stop spreading misinformation capable of damaging his reputation.

Speaking in a video posted on his social media platforms, he clarified that he had no connection with the viral recording involving Oloolu and was shocked to discover that his name had been associated with the incident. He said the false claims had caused unnecessary panic among his family, friends and followers.

The TikToker stressed that he is alive, healthy and continuing with his normal activities, urging Nigerians to verify information before sharing it online. He warned that the spread of fake news on social media could have serious consequences for innocent people and their loved ones.

He also appealed to bloggers and social media users to remove misleading posts linking him to the video or claiming he had died, noting that such reports were entirely fabricated. The content creator thanked supporters who reached out to check on him and reassured them that he was safe.

The incident has once again highlighted the growing problem of misinformation on social media, where unverified claims often spread rapidly before the facts are established. Authorities and digital safety advocates have repeatedly urged users to confirm the authenticity of information before reposting it online.
