Taraba APC Group Urges Party to Uphold Governorship Primary Result
An APC group in Taraba North has urged the party leadership to uphold the outcome of its governorship primary, calling for unity and warning against actions that could deepen internal divisions.
A group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba North has called on the party leadership to respect and uphold the outcome of its recent governorship primary in the state.
The group made the appeal amid growing internal disagreements following the exercise, insisting that the result should not be altered or subjected to any form of reversal. They argued that maintaining the outcome would help preserve fairness and internal democracy within the party.
According to the stakeholders, attempts to discard or tamper with the primary result could deepen divisions already existing within the party structure in Taraba State. They maintained that all aspirants were given a fair opportunity during the contest and urged the national leadership of the APC to resist pressure to reopen or nullify the process.
The group further stressed the importance of unity within the party, warning that prolonged disputes over the primary could weaken its chances in future elections. They appealed to aggrieved members to explore internal party mechanisms for resolving complaints rather than escalating tensions publicly.
They also reaffirmed their support for the party’s leadership, calling for reconciliation efforts to ensure stability ahead of the next electoral cycle.
