Sowore Unveils Mobile App to Boost 2027 Election Campaign
Omoyele Sowore has launched the SoworeNow mobile app to connect supporters, coordinate volunteers, deliver verified campaign updates and strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 election.
The presidential campaign of Omoyele Sowore has launched the SoworeNow mobile application as its official digital platform to mobilise supporters ahead of the 2027 presidential election under the African Action Congress (AAC).
Sowore announced the launch in a video posted on his official Instagram account, @yelesho, on Thursday, describing the application as a tool to encourage greater citizen participation in the campaign.
Addressing Nigerians in the announcement, the AAC presidential candidate said the platform would serve as a central point for campaign information and grassroots engagement.
“Fellow Nigerians, real change begins with action and action begins with you.
“That is why we launched the SoworeNow app. With this app, you can get verified campaign updates, you can join rallies and connect with other supporters to promote the movement,” he said.
The application, launched in July 2026, is designed to function as a digital hub where supporters can receive official campaign information, coordinate volunteer activities and participate in grassroots mobilisation across the country.
According to details released by the campaign, users of the app will have access to verified campaign news, official statements and regular updates on activities leading to the 2027 general election.
The platform is also expected to facilitate communication between campaign organisers and supporters by providing information about rallies, meetings and other political events.
One of the app’s key features is Movement AI, an artificial intelligence-powered assistant that enables users to ask questions about the campaign and receive responses in multiple languages.
The campaign said the multilingual feature was introduced to make information more accessible to Nigerians from different linguistic backgrounds and encourage wider participation in the movement.
The launch reflects the growing use of digital technology in Nigeria’s political campaigns, with parties and candidates increasingly relying on mobile applications, social media platforms and online communities to engage voters.
Political observers believe such platforms can improve communication with supporters, expand grassroots outreach and provide faster access to campaign information.
The Sowore campaign said the application would continue to receive updates and additional features as preparations for the 2027 presidential election gather momentum.
Sowore, a former presidential candidate and activist, is expected to contest the 2027 election on the platform of the African Action Congress, with the campaign positioning the new mobile application as an important tool for organising supporters and expanding its nationwide political movement.
