Police Track Stolen Phone, Arrest Four Burglary Suspects in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with a burglary in the Agbado area of the state after detectives used forensic tracking to trace one of the stolen mobile phones. The suspects were identified as Sodiq Raji (32), Zubby Nzube (28), Adeyemi Omoyajuowo (30), and Chimezie Iwuanya (35).

According to the command's spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the arrests followed an investigation into a house-breaking incident reported on July 5, 2026. Investigators tracked one of the stolen phones to Sodiq Raji, whose arrest subsequently led to the apprehension of the three other suspects believed to be connected to the burglary.

Police said some of the stolen items have already been recovered from the suspects, while efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining valuables and arrest other accomplices who are still at large. The investigation is continuing as detectives work to dismantle the entire burglary network.

The command assured residents of its commitment to combating crime through intelligence-led policing and modern investigative techniques. It added that the suspects will be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded.
