Police Arrest Man Over Alleged Murder in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested Abubakar Musa in connection with the alleged murder of 30-year-old Nathaniel Yusuf of Jambutu Ward in Yola North Local Government Area. The suspect was apprehended following a report of the incident, and police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, officers responded swiftly after receiving a distress call and arrested the suspect during an intelligence-led operation. The victim's body was recovered and deposited at a hospital mortuary for an autopsy, while detectives commenced efforts to establish the motive behind the alleged crime.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabiru Hassan, directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to carry out a thorough and professional investigation to ensure justice is served. He reaffirmed the command's commitment to protecting lives and property, warning residents against taking the law into their own hands.
The police also urged members of the public to remain law-abiding and promptly report suspicious activities or security concerns to the nearest police station. Authorities assured residents that anyone found culpable after investigations would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
