Obi Reaffirms One-Term Pledge, Says Four Years Enough to Transform Nigeria

Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has reaffirmed his commitment to serving only one four-year term if elected in the 2027 presidential election, insisting that the period is sufficient to place Nigeria on the path of growth and stability.

Obi said his promise is rooted in his belief that purposeful leadership, backed by discipline and accountability, can deliver meaningful progress within a single term. He maintained that the country's challenges require competence and commitment rather than an extended stay in office.
