Nsofor Rejects NDC Anambra South Primary Results, Demands Review of Process
Nsofor Rejects NDC Anambra South Primary Results, Alleges Irregularities
A senatorial aspirant of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Nsofor, has rejected the outcome of the party’s Anambra South Senatorial District primary election, alleging irregularities in the conduct and announcement of the results.
Nsofor, who voiced his objections through social media posts and public statements, claimed that the process did not reflect the true wishes of party members and delegates who participated in the primary election.
According to the aspirant, concerns were raised regarding transparency and compliance with the party’s electoral guidelines. He called on the NDC leadership to review the outcome and address grievances raised by aggrieved stakeholders.
The dispute comes as political parties across the country conclude their primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections. Internal disagreements over candidate selection have continued to generate debates within several political parties.
Supporters of Nsofor have urged the party to investigate the allegations, while other party members have called for calm and unity as the electoral season gathers momentum.
As of the time of reporting, NDC officials had yet to issue a detailed response to the claims. However, party leaders have repeatedly emphasized their commitment to transparent and democratic processes in selecting candidates for the upcoming elections.
Political analysts note that how the party handles the dispute could influence internal cohesion and preparations for the 2027 polls in Anambra State and beyond.
