Regina Daniels Reveals Months of Health Challenges as She Celebrates 25th Birthday
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has disclosed that months of severe pain and mobility difficulties left her dependent on a wheelchair. The actress, who shared the experience on her 25th birthday, expressed gratitude for improvements in her recovery while acknowledging the emotional toll of her condition.
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about months of health challenges that left her struggling to walk and dependent on a wheelchair, as she marked her 25th birthday.
The actress shared her experience in a video posted on her Instagram page on Saturday, October 10, explaining that her prolonged absence from social media was linked to her deteriorating health.
Daniels said the condition began as a minor health issue but gradually worsened, resulting in severe pain and difficulties with movement. She explained that her situation took a significant turn after the Children’s Day carnival she hosted, following which she underwent a series of medical tests.
According to her, the pain sometimes became unbearable, leaving her unable to move, although there were also periods when she could walk normally.
The mother of two described the experience as emotionally challenging, particularly as she had to depend on other people for assistance with everyday activities. She said the loss of her independence was difficult to cope with, adding that she had cried during some of the most challenging moments.
Despite the difficulties, Daniels expressed gratitude for the progress she had made, revealing that significant developments in her recovery had encouraged her to speak publicly about her condition.
She attributed her strength during the period to her faith in God and expressed hope for continued healing and peace.
The actress also disclosed that she had moved into a new home closer to her children, whom she described as particularly important to her. She said the property initially began as a rented accommodation before she decided to purchase it.
Daniels recounted an emotional visit to her children, saying the experience reminded her of the moments she first held them after their births.
Reflecting on the year, she described it as one filled with blessings despite the health challenges she had encountered.
The actress, who married businessman and politician Ned Nwoko in 2019, has two children. Their relationship has been the subject of public attention following reports of a separation.
Daniels did not disclose a specific medical diagnosis or provide details of the treatment she received, but said her recovery had shown encouraging progress.
