Kwara Pilgrims Board Sets Deadline for 2027 Hajj Payments

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has urged intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to complete their payments before the deadline set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), warning that late remittances may affect participation in the pilgrimage. The board said the timeline is part of efforts to ensure smooth planning and compliance with Saudi Arabia's requirements for Hajj operations.

Speaking in Ilorin, the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, advised prospective pilgrims to make early payments to avoid last-minute challenges. He explained that prompt remittance would enable the board to finalise arrangements relating to accommodation, transportation and other logistics ahead of the pilgrimage.

The board also encouraged intending pilgrims to obtain the necessary forms and complete all registration procedures within the stipulated period. It noted that early registration would assist authorities in planning effectively and ensuring a seamless exercise for pilgrims from the state.

NAHCON has fixed September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for the remittance of 2027 Hajj fares by intending pilgrims nationwide. The commission said strict adherence to the schedule is necessary to meet international obligations and avoid disruptions to pilgrimage arrangements.

The Kwara board reaffirmed its commitment to providing efficient services to pilgrims and urged all intending participants to take advantage of the early payment window to secure their places for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
