Iranian Army Warns of Continued Strikes if US Attacks Persist
The Iranian military has vowed to continue retaliatory strikes unless the United States stops attacking Iran, signalling that the ongoing military confrontation will persist if hostilities continue.
The Iranian Armed Forces have warned that they will continue launching retaliatory strikes unless the United States halts its military attacks against the country. The warning came after recent U.S. strikes reportedly targeted Iranian military facilities, escalating tensions between the two nations and raising fears of a broader regional conflict.
In a statement carried by Iranian state media, military officials said Iran's response would continue "as long as aggression persists," describing the recent missile and drone attacks as acts of self-defence. They maintained that Iran would not cease military operations unless the United States ended what they called hostile actions against the country.
The latest warning follows a sharp escalation in hostilities after an Iranian attack reportedly killed U.S. troops, prompting retaliatory American strikes on Iranian military targets. The exchange has heightened concerns among world leaders over the risk of a wider conflict in the Middle East, with renewed calls for restraint and diplomatic engagement.
Analysts say the continued exchange of military action between Washington and Tehran could further disrupt regional stability, threaten global energy supplies, and increase international pressure for diplomatic efforts to prevent a prolonged confrontation.
