FG’s 3MTT Secures $10m Partnership with Hello CV to Boost Tech Employment
Federal Government of Nigeria’s Three Million Technical Talent programme has secured a $10 million partnership with Hello CV to improve job placement for Nigerian tech trainees. The collaboration, backed by the Bosun Tijani, will use AI tools, global recruitment networks, and standardized credentialing to connect 3MTT graduates with employers while strengthening Nigeria’s digital skills-to-jobs pipeline.
The Federal Government’s Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme has secured a landmark $10 million partnership with global talent matchmaking platform Hello CV to accelerate employment opportunities for Nigerian tech talents, Technology Times reports.
The strategic collaboration, driven by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy under Minister Dr. 'Bosun Tijani, is explicitly designed to bridge the gap between technical training and actual job placement. The $10 million investment will fund a comprehensive pipeline to connect 3MTT fellows with both domestic and international employers.
Through this partnership, Hello CV will deploy its advanced AI-driven talent vetting and resume-building infrastructure to profile 3MTT graduates. The platform will provide automated career mapping, interview preparation modules, and direct matching channels to global tech companies seeking vetted African tech talent.
Key components of the $10 million initiative include:
- Global Talent Matching: Direct integration of 3MTT graduates into Hello CV’s international network of corporate partners and tech recruiters.
- AI Career Optimization: Provision of premium digital resume-building tools and automated portfolio management for all enrolled fellows.
- Vetting and Standardisation: Establishing a standardized, verified credentialing system to validate the technical proficiencies of 3MTT graduates for employers.
- Soft Skills Integration: Tailored training tracks focusing on remote work etiquette, cross-cultural communication, and freelance management.
Ministry officials noted that while the first phase of 3MTT successfully focused on onboarding and training hundreds of thousands of Nigerians in core digital skills, such as software engineering, data analysis, and AI, the program's ultimate success hinges on economic absorption.
This multi-million dollar commitment from Hello CV acts as a critical employment engine, ensuring that the technical capacity being built locally translates directly into high-paying jobs, foreign exchange inflows, and long-term economic growth for Nigeria's digital economy.
