Arokodare: 'I'm Only Trying to Do My Job' Amid Wolves Dispute
Tolu Arokodare says he is "only trying to do my job" as tensions with Wolverhampton Wanderers continue over his uncertain future. The Nigerian striker insists he remains committed to his responsibilities despite ongoing transfer speculation and reported disciplinary issues.
Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has broken his silence over the growing dispute with Wolverhampton Wanderers, insisting that he is only trying to fulfil his professional responsibilities despite the controversy surrounding his future at the club. The Nigerian forward made the remarks after reports emerged that he had been excluded from first-team activities amid transfer speculation.
Arokodare said he has remained committed to training and performing his duties, stressing that he has no intention of causing disruption. "I'm only trying to do my job," he said, amid reports linking him with a move away from Wolves following a breakdown in his relationship with the club.
The 25-year-old has been at the centre of speculation after reports claimed Wolves prevented him from training with the senior squad while the club considered his future. The uncertainty follows an earlier dressing-room altercation with teammate Mateus Mane, after which reports suggested Wolves were open to loaning or selling the striker during the summer transfer window.
Despite the off-field issues, Arokodare maintained that his focus remains on football and expressed hope that the situation would be resolved professionally. His future at Molineux remains uncertain, with several clubs reportedly monitoring his situation ahead of the new season.
