Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has inaugurated the first phase of the 3.5-kilometre Ila Township Dual Carriageway in Ila-Orangun, describing the project as part of his administration's commitment to expanding road infrastructure and improving connectivity across the state. The governor said the dual carriageway is the first of its kind in the ancient town and reflects his government's focus on delivering people-oriented projects.


Speaking at the inauguration, Adeleke said his administration has continued to invest heavily in road construction, rehabilitation and urban renewal to stimulate economic growth and improve the quality of life for residents. He noted that the Ila dual carriageway forms part of broader efforts to modernise transportation infrastructure and enhance access to communities across Osun State.


The governor also assured residents that more developmental projects would be executed across the state, stressing that his administration remains committed to equitable distribution of infrastructure regardless of location. Community leaders and traditional rulers at the event commended the project, describing it as a significant milestone for Ila-Orangun and its surrounding communities.


Adeleke urged residents to continue supporting his administration, saying sustained investment in roads, education, healthcare and other critical sectors would remain a priority. He reaffirmed his government's determination to complete ongoing projects and deliver additional infrastructure that would promote economic development throughout Osun State.
