VeryDarkMan Opposes Tyla’s Planned Nigeria Concert, Warns Organisers

Popular Nigerian social commentator and activist, Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has warned organisers of South African singer Tyla’s planned concert in Nigeria, insisting that the event will not take place.

VeryDarkMan made the declaration in a video shared on his social media platforms while reacting to reports of the singer’s scheduled performance in the country.

According to him, he strongly opposes the planned concert and believes the organisers will not be able to stage the event successfully.

“There will be no Tyla show in Nigeria,” he declared, maintaining that those behind the concert should reconsider their plans.

Although he did not provide full details of the reasons behind his opposition in the video, the activist suggested that he would elaborate further on his position in a longer statement.

His comments have since sparked mixed reactions across social media, with supporters and critics debating whether the concert should proceed.

While some users backed his stance, others argued that entertainment events should not be disrupted, insisting that music lovers should be allowed to enjoy performances by international artists.

As of the time of filing this report, Tyla and the organisers of the proposed concert had not issued an official response to VeryDarkMan’s comments.

The South African Grammy-winning singer remains one of Africa’s fastest-rising music stars, with a growing fan base across the continent, including Nigeria.

Further details surrounding the planned concert and the controversy are expected to emerge in the coming days.
