A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party led by former Senate President Bukola Saraki’s ally, Kabiru Turaki, has endorsed the G-100 movement as part of efforts to build a broad coalition capable of defeating the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 elections.
A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party led by Kabiru Turaki has endorsed the G-100 movement as part of efforts to defeat the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections.
The faction expressed support for the movement’s efforts to bring opposition political groups and stakeholders together ahead of the elections.
It said the objective was to build a broad political coalition capable of challenging the APC and presenting Nigerians with an alternative in 2027.
The development comes amid ongoing efforts by opposition parties and political groups to forge alliances ahead of the general elections.
The Turaki-led faction said opposition forces needed to put aside individual interests and work together to achieve a common political objective.
It urged PDP members and other opposition stakeholders to support initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation among parties opposed to the APC.
The faction maintained that a united opposition would have a better chance of defeating the ruling party at the polls.
The endorsement adds to growing political activities within the opposition camp as parties and political movements position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
