Tinubu Condoles Ex-Minister Kemi Adeosun Over Husband’s Death

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed heartfelt condolences to former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, following the death of her husband, Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 62.


The President’s message was conveyed in a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who said Tinubu shared in the grief of the Adeosun family during this difficult period.


According to the statement, the President extended his sympathies not only to the former minister but also to the late Anthony Adeosun’s family members, friends, associates and business partners, acknowledging the profound loss they have suffered.


Tinubu described the deceased as a man whose life was defined by strong Christian values, compassion for others and an unwavering commitment to community service. He noted that Anthony Adeosun’s legacy would continue to inspire many people who benefited from his generosity and humanitarian efforts.


The President also referred to the numerous tributes and testimonies that have emerged since the announcement of his passing, saying they reflected the impact he made through his personal relationships and charitable works.


He particularly commended the late Adeosun’s dedication to supporting the less privileged, noting that his consistent acts of kindness earned him the admiration and respect of many within and beyond his immediate community.


Tinubu encouraged the bereaved family to find strength in the meaningful life Anthony Adeosun lived, stressing that his contributions to society and the values he upheld would remain a lasting source of comfort.


The President further prayed for divine consolation for Kemi Adeosun and other members of the family as they mourn the painful loss of a beloved husband, father and relative.


He also prayed that Almighty God would grant the deceased eternal rest while giving the family the courage and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.


Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun’s death has continued to attract condolences from prominent Nigerians, friends and associates, many of whom have remembered him for his humility, generosity and commitment to serving humanity through faith-driven initiatives and community development efforts.
