2027: Adeleke, Oyetola Unite for Tinubu, Unveil Tompolo-Donated Vehicles
Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke and Minister Adegboyega Oyetola join forces for Tinubu’s re-election, inaugurating 30 vehicles donated by businessman Tompolo.
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Saturday appeared together in Osogbo to inaugurate 30 campaign vehicles donated in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general election.
The vehicles were donated by the convener of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, to support grassroots mobilisation for the President across the state.
The event attracted political leaders and supporters from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Accord Party. Those present included APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru; Osun APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal; Accord Party Chairman in the state, Victor Akande; and Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun.
Adeleke’s address, read by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, described the gathering as a demonstration of unity across political parties in support of Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
The governor urged members of the coalition to put aside previous political disagreements and work towards delivering between 1.5 million and two million votes for the President in Osun.
He, however, clarified that the alliance was limited to the presidential election, stressing that the participating political groups would continue to support their respective candidates in the National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections.
Oyetola’s address, delivered by the APC’s 2026 governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, described the emerging political cooperation as a development that transcended party boundaries.
He said Adeleke’s role in coordinating the Rainbow Campaign Council for Tinubu’s re-election demonstrated the need for political stakeholders to work together on the presidential contest.
Speaking on behalf of Tompolo, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, said the vehicles were equipped with campaign materials, including speakers, generators and amplifiers, to support mobilisation activities.
Pondi said the donation was part of a wider effort to take the President’s re-election campaign to communities and grassroots voters. He also indicated that additional resources would be considered to strengthen the movement’s activities in Osun.
The APC National Secretary, Basiru, urged residents to support Tinubu’s re-election, citing federal government programmes and infrastructure projects in the state.
The event brought together political figures who have previously belonged to opposing camps in Osun, although the cooperation announced at the gathering was expressly focused on the 2027 presidential election.
