Super Eagles Prepare for Another Fierce Jamaica Test in Unity Cup Final
Nigeria will face Jamaica in the Unity Cup final in London after a 2–0 win over Zimbabwe, with Femi Azeez starring on debut. The Super Eagles, unbeaten in the tournament, are chasing a fourth title as Eric Chelle continues squad rotation ahead of future fixtures.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are set for another high-profile clash against Jamaica in the final of the 2026 Unity Cup in London, as Eric Chelle’s side aims to retain the trophy after last year’s dramatic triumph.
The Super Eagles reached the final following a composed 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe, with debutant Femi Azeez emerging as one of the standout performers after scoring both goals in the semi-final.
Jamaica secured their own place in the final after defeating India in the second semi-final, setting up another meeting between two sides that have developed a growing rivalry in the competition.
Nigeria remain unbeaten in Unity Cup history and will be targeting a fourth title in the tournament, having previously won the competition in 2002, 2004, and 2025.
Head coach Eric Chelle is expected to continue assessing a blend of experienced internationals and new-generation players, with the tournament serving as an important platform ahead of future competitive fixtures.
The final will take place at The Valley in South London, where organisers are expecting a large turnout from Nigerian and Jamaican supporters for what has become one of the standout diaspora football events in the UK.
