RCCG Founder's Daughter Denies Criticising Church Leadership Over Father's Legacy

A daughter of the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Titilayo Akindayomi-Adewale, has denied reports claiming she criticised the church's leadership over the legacy of her late father, Rev. Josiah Akindayomi. She described the reports as misleading and said her comments had been taken out of context.

Akindayomi-Adewale explained that while she remains passionate about preserving her father's history and contributions to the church, she has never attacked the leadership of the RCCG or questioned its direction. She reaffirmed her support for the church and its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, insisting that attempts to create controversy where none exists should be disregarded.

She noted that her desire to keep her father's legacy alive is the reason behind initiatives such as the Josiah Akindayomi Foundation, which was established to educate younger generations about the life, values and ministry of the church's founder. According to her, the foundation is intended to honour his memory rather than create division within the church.

The pastor also dismissed claims that she had accused the church of neglecting her father's legacy, maintaining that her previous remarks had simply highlighted the need for more people to know the history of RCCG and the role played by its founder. She urged the public to verify information before sharing it, warning against the spread of false narratives capable of causing unnecessary controversy.

She reiterated her commitment to the unity and continued growth of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, expressing confidence in the church's leadership while encouraging members to remain focused on its spiritual mission rather than distractions arising from misinformation.
