Planting for Food and Jobs Season 3 targets record 1.5 million farmer beneficiaries

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has launched the third season of the Planting for Food and Jobs programme targeting 1.5 million smallholder farmers.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has formally launched Season Three of the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) programme, with an ambitious target of reaching 1.5 million smallholder farmers nationwide.

Agriculture Minister Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto said the expanded programme would cover maize, rice, soya bean, vegetables and tree crops.

GH¢1.2 billion has been allocated for input subsidies, with electronic vouchers replacing physical coupons to reduce leakages.
