PFIPC: I’ll Prove My Claim Against Gbajabiamila in Court — Adeyemi

The self-styled Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, has insisted that he will prove his allegations against the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, before a court of law.

Adeyemi made the declaration on Thursday while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today, maintaining that the matter should be left for judicial determination.

Although repeatedly asked to provide evidence supporting his allegations, Adeyemi declined, stating that he could not discuss details because the case was already before the court.

According to him, it would be inappropriate to comment extensively on issues that are the subject of ongoing legal proceedings.

“I’m not going to provide the details because the matter is in court,” he said.

Adeyemi, however, expressed confidence that the judicial process would establish the truth and clear his name.

He maintained that he was prepared to face any legal consequences if his claims were found to be false.

“Definitely, sir. If I’m wrong, let the court of law do that. And if I’m right, let the court of law do that. Do the right thing,” he stated.

The self-acclaimed PFIPC boss also rejected allegations describing him as a fraudster or con artist.

He argued that only a competent court of law should determine the authenticity of his claims and activities.

“Since the matter is in the court, let the court of competent jurisdiction vindicate me because I’m ready to clear my name,” Adeyemi added.

The controversy follows allegations by Adeyemi that Gbajabiamila received N400 million through a proxy and demanded an additional N200 million to facilitate his appointment as Director-General of the PFIPC.

The Presidency has strongly denied the allegations, describing the PFIPC as a fictitious organisation with no legal recognition under the Federal Government.

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga also stated that the Office of the Chief of Staff neither issues appointments nor establishes government agencies, dismissing the allegations as baseless.

The case has continued to attract public attention, with security agencies investigating claims surrounding the alleged council while both parties await the outcome of legal proceedings.
