Owa Obokun Prays for APC Candidate Oyebamiji, Urges Focus on Good Governance
The Owa Obokun offered royal prayers for Oyebamiji's campaign, reminding political leaders that true authority must serve the collective progress and stability of the state.
ILESAMU / OSOGBO — The paramount ruler of Ijesaland, the Owa Obokun, has offered traditional prayers and royal blessings for the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, while charging political leaders to prioritize accountable leadership, peace, and public welfare ahead of the state governorship election.
The monarch received Oyebamiji and his campaign delegation at the royal palace during a strategic consultation tour across the Ijesa zone, encouraging all political contenders to conduct peaceful campaigns centered on socio-economic development rather than political acrimony.
Oyebamiji, accompanied by prominent party chieftains and campaign managers, reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, economic revival, and sustained infrastructure investments across Osun State if elected into office.
Receiving the campaign team, the traditional ruler offered prayers for Oyebamiji's safety and political aspirations, emphasizing that monarchical blessings remain focused on encouraging candidates who demonstrate integrity, humility, and genuine service to the populace.
Addressing the traditional council, Oyebamiji outlined his administrative agenda, highlighting plans to boost local commerce, revitalize agricultural value chains, improve educational standards, and expand healthcare delivery across all local government areas.
Both the royal father and the APC candidate urged political stakeholders, community elders, and youth groups across Osun State to uphold democratic values by avoiding electoral violence and maintaining communal peace throughout the electioneering period.
