Osun Election: Oyetola's Wife Mobilises 10,000 Female Canvassers for Oyebamiji

Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola, wife of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has unveiled a 10,000-member women canvassers' group to mobilise grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Munirudeen Oyebamiji (AMBO), ahead of the August 15 Osun governorship election.

The group, known as "Akobi Obinrin" (Brave Women), staged a solidarity walk through major streets in Osogbo, led by Mrs. Oyetola alongside the wife of the APC candidate, Alhaja Sekinat Oyebamiji, the wife of the deputy governorship candidate, Princess Adebukola Adereti, and other female party leaders. The campaign was aimed at boosting voter mobilisation and encouraging greater participation by women in the election.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Oyetola said the canvassers would focus on door-to-door voter education and mobilisation across polling units to ensure APC supporters turn out to vote and avoid casting invalid ballots. She explained that the initiative, originally established to support President Bola Tinubu's political campaigns, had now been redirected to strengthen support for Oyebamiji's governorship bid.

Addressing the gathering, Oyebamiji described the rally as a "Walk to Win", urging women to vote massively for the APC. He expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious, promising to restore development and improve governance across Osun State if elected.
