NPFL Sets Up Twin Trophy Stations for Dramatic Final-Day Title Showdown

The NPFL has arranged duplicate trophies in Lagos and Port Harcourt ahead of the 2025/26 season finale, as Enugu Rangers and Rivers United go into the final day separated by just one point, with simultaneous kick-offs planned amid both a tight title race and a multi-club relegation battle.

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has completed complex logistical arrangements to deploy duplicate championship trophies to both Lagos and Port Harcourt this Sunday, ensuring an immediate on-pitch presentation for the 2025/26 season finale.

The title race has narrowed down to a single point. Table leaders Enugu Rangers (65 points) face a grueling away fixture against a highly motivated Ikorodu City side at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos. Simultaneously, second-placed Rivers United (64 points) will look to capitalize on any slip-ups as they host Katsina United at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.

To maintain total sporting integrity, all 10 league matches will kick off at the exact same time. Beyond the championship drama, an unprecedented nine clubs remain mathematically entangled in a fierce, final-day survival battle to escape the relegation drop zone.
