Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Obasa Issues Stern Warning Against Exploiting His Name to Spark Primary Protests
Lagos Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has strongly warned political actors against using his name to trigger public protests or political instability ahead of upcoming party primaries.
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has issued an unyielding political directive warning ambitious aspirants, party delegates, and interest groups against using his name or legislative office to orchestrate public demonstrations or stir regional political unrest ahead of the upcoming party primaries. The Speaker's warning comes amid intelligence reports indicating that certain disgruntled political factions within the metropolitan area have begun distributing flyers and publishing online statements falsely claiming his backing to justify planned street protests and disrupt party selection processes.
In an official executive brief released by his media apparatus, Speaker Obasa emphasized that the selection of flagbearers must remain a strictly democratic process guided by the party's constitution and internal consensus mechanisms. The legislative leader warned that any political actor caught weaponizing his reputation to fuel factionalism or compromise the peace of Lagos State will be held personally accountable. He urged all aggrieved aspirants to bypass external media campaigns and channel their structural grievances through the party's formal internal dispute resolution organs.
