KNUST launches Africa's first quantum computing research centre
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has inaugurated Africa's first dedicated quantum computing research centre.
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has inaugurated Africa's first dedicated quantum computing research centre, attracting partnerships with IBM, Google and the European Quantum Flagship programme.
Vice Chancellor Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson said the centre would position Ghana at the frontier of next-generation computing technology.
The centre will host PhD researchers and explore applications in cryptography, drug discovery and logistics optimisation.
