Katsina United Unveil 11 New Signings Ahead of 2026/27 NPFL Season

Katsina United have officially unveiled 11 new players as part of an extensive squad overhaul ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The new arrivals were presented during a ceremony at the club's secretariat inside the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina as preparations intensify for the new campaign.

The unveiling was led by the club's Chairman and Supervising Coordinator, Surajo Malumfashi, who expressed confidence that the signings would strengthen the squad and improve the team's competitiveness in the upcoming season. He urged the players to justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering impressive performances on the pitch.

The new recruits include Samson Obi, Micheal Ibeh, Francis Koroma, Ubong Essien, Chinedu Benjamin, Luis Dadong, Kolawole Oladipo, Joshua Akpan, Emmanuel Bakare, Abba Musa and one additional player completing the 11-man intake. The signings reflect the club's determination to reinforce key areas of the team ahead of the new NPFL season.

Katsina United have been active in the transfer market throughout the off-season as they seek to improve on their previous campaign and challenge more strongly in the league.
