Insecurity: Pray for Terrorists, Bandits to Repent — Tinubu Tells Nigerians
President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians to pray for terrorists and bandits to repent, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to intensified military operations, intelligence gathering and stronger security collaboration nationwide.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to continue praying for terrorists and bandits to repent and abandon violence as security agencies intensify operations against insecurity across the country.
Tinubu made the appeal on Thursday during a meeting with security chiefs and traditional leaders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where discussions focused on rising cases of terrorism, kidnapping and banditry.
The President said his administration remained committed to restoring peace through sustained military operations, intelligence gathering and stronger coordination among security agencies.
He, however, noted that national unity and spiritual support were also important in addressing the country’s security challenges.
“Nigeria should pray that terrorists and bandits will have a rethink and abandon their evil ways. We are determined to secure this country, protect lives and ensure that every Nigerian can live without fear,” Tinubu said.
The President also urged citizens to cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information, warning that criminal groups often thrive when communities refuse to speak up.
Tinubu further assured Nigerians that the Federal Government would continue investing in modern security equipment and improved strategies to combat insurgency and banditry nationwide.
