Government launches GH¢200 million fund to expand STEM education in public schools
The Ministry of Education has announced a GH¢200 million STEM Education Acceleration Fund to equip public schools with modern laboratories and digital learning tools.
The Ministry of Education has announced the launch of a GH¢200 million STEM Education Acceleration Fund aimed at transforming science, technology, engineering and mathematics learning in public schools.
Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum said the fund would equip 500 STEM laboratories, supply 100,000 tablets, train 10,000 teachers and introduce coding as a compulsory subject from primary five.
"We cannot build a 21st-century economy without equipping our children with 21st-century skills," the Minister said.
