Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has invited former Arsenal goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri to train with the national team ahead of Nigeria’s Unity Cup clash against Zimbabwe in London.
Ejeheri, who currently plays for Danish side FC Midtjylland, joined the squad during training sessions as Chelle continued assessing goalkeeping options within the team setup.
The goalkeeper remains eligible to represent Nigeria, England, and Uganda at international level, but expressed excitement over his first experience with the Super Eagles camp.
The Hale End academy graduate also reunited with fellow former Arsenal player Arthur Okonkwo during the training camp, with both players viewed as part of Nigeria’s evolving squad under Chelle.
Nigeria are continuing preparations for the Unity Cup tournament, with more invited players expected to join camp before the opening fixture against Zimbabwe.
