Aiyedatiwa Vows to Deliver Ondo for Tinubu's Re-election

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has declared that the state will deliver overwhelming support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election. He said the people of Ondo had already endorsed the President for a second term and expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would secure a decisive victory in the state.

Aiyedatiwa made the declaration in Akure during the distribution of food and relief materials to vulnerable residents under the Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Programme Food Outreach Scheme. He described the intervention as evidence of the Tinubu administration's commitment to reducing poverty and supporting disadvantaged Nigerians through targeted welfare programmes.

The governor praised the Renewed Hope Initiative for addressing the needs of vulnerable groups, including widows, elderly people, youths and persons with disabilities. According to him, the programme represents more than the distribution of food, describing it as a demonstration of compassion, solidarity and a shared commitment to improving the lives of less privileged citizens.

Also speaking at the event, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, represented by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, said the initiative aims to improve access to nutritious food while strengthening community support systems. She explained that the programme is supported by monthly food donations from the Abdulsamad Rabiu Africa Initiative, enabling vulnerable households across different states to benefit from the intervention.

The governor reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting the Federal Government's programmes, expressing optimism that continued collaboration between the state and federal authorities would improve the welfare of residents as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
