The family of late businessman and socialite Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Addey, has accused his former wife of making false claims about his life and death, urging her to stop circulating what it described as misleading information and confidential documents belonging to the deceased.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the family said recent allegations made by the ex-wife were untrue and intended to tarnish the late businessman's reputation. It maintained that the documents being circulated were private records that should not have been made public without the family's consent.

The family also denied claims relating to the management of Addey's estate, insisting that all matters concerning his assets and affairs were being handled in accordance with the law. It warned against further attempts to misrepresent facts or mislead the public over issues surrounding his legacy.

According to the statement, the continued publication of confidential documents has caused unnecessary distress to family members and could undermine ongoing legal and administrative processes. The family appealed to the public to disregard what it described as unfounded allegations pending the proper resolution of all outstanding matters.

While expressing its desire to avoid further public disputes, the family urged the deceased's former wife to respect the privacy of the family and allow legal processes to run their course. It reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Addey's legacy through lawful means.
