Abia Governor Approves Payment of Actress Ngozi Nwosu's Medical Bills

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has approved the payment of the first phase of the medical expenses of veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu following her public appeal for financial assistance to undergo three life-saving surgeries. The intervention came after the actress revealed that she had been hospitalised for weeks and needed ₦30 million for urgent medical treatment.

The governor's Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Martins Justice, announced the development, describing it as part of the administration's support for the creative industry. He explained that the approval covers only the initial phase of the actress's treatment and appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to continue supporting her until the full medical costs are met.

Justice expressed appreciation to Governor Otti on behalf of members of the entertainment industry, praising the intervention as a timely response to the actress's health challenges. He noted that additional financial assistance would still be required to enable Nwosu to undergo all the recommended surgeries and complete her treatment successfully.
