₦400m Mansion Gift to Peller Equivalent to ₦400, Says Real Estate Mogul
Real estate mogul King Ochacho has defended his decision to gift TikTok star Peller a ₦400 million mansion, saying the gesture is the equivalent of ₦400 to him because of his financial capacity. He said the gift was meant to reward Peller's hard work and success as a young content creator.
Real estate entrepreneur King Mohamed Adah, popularly known as King Ochacho, has dismissed public reactions to his decision to gift TikTok star Peller a ₦400 million mansion, insisting that the property means little to him financially. According to the businessman, the gift is the equivalent of giving away just ₦400 for someone of his financial standing.
Speaking after the lavish wedding of Peller and Jarvis, Ochacho said many Nigerians misunderstood the value of the gesture because they were judging it from their own financial capacity. He explained that what appears to be an enormous amount to many people represents only a tiny fraction of his wealth, stressing that generosity should not be measured by the monetary value of a gift alone.
The businessman had earlier surprised guests at the couple's wedding by announcing that he was presenting them with a brand-new mansion in Abuja worth ₦400 million. The announcement drew loud applause and quickly went viral on social media, becoming one of the biggest highlights of the celebrity wedding.
Ochacho said he was motivated by his admiration for Peller's hard work, consistency and rapid rise as a content creator. He added that supporting young Nigerians who have built successful careers through determination and innovation aligns with his commitment to encouraging entrepreneurship and youth development.
The wedding of Peller and Jarvis attracted celebrities, business executives, entertainers and social media influencers, with the couple receiving several other expensive gifts, including cash donations and landed property. The event has remained one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings in Nigeria this year.
