Youth Employment Agency places 120,000 graduates in apprenticeships and internships
The Youth Employment Agency says it placed 120,000 Ghanaian graduates in apprenticeships, internships and public works programmes in 2024.
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has reported placing 120,000 young Ghanaians in apprenticeships, internships, public works and entrepreneurship programmes in 2024, exceeding its annual target of 100,000 placements.
Chief Executive Justin Koduah said the agency had expanded its private-sector partnerships and introduced a new digital platform that matched youth to opportunities based on skills profiles.
A new YEA module targeting young women in the creative and digital economy is expected in Q2 2025.
