Yahaya Bello Gifts Kogi Student N30m for Aviation Training
Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has provided about N30 million to support Enejoh Faith’s aviation training after her family sought financial assistance, enabling her to complete the programme and pursue her ambition of becoming a pilot.
Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has supported an aviation student, Enejoh Faith, with about N30 million to enable her complete her training and pursue her ambition of becoming a pilot.
Faith and her family visited Bello in Abuja on Monday to express their appreciation for the intervention.
According to a statement by Bello’s spokesperson, Onogwu Muhammed, Bello first met Faith and her father in July 2025 after they approached him for financial assistance.
Faith had secured admission for aviation training but was unable to raise the funds required for registration and continuation of the programme.
Bello subsequently agreed to take responsibility for her training, with the programme costing about N30 million.
The former governor reportedly provided more than the initial amount requested to cover possible additional expenses during her studies.
Faith’s father said his daughter had since completed her training and scored 89 per cent in her public pilot licence examination.
He expressed gratitude to Bello, saying the former governor had become highly valued by the family.
Muhammed said the intervention was part of Bello’s private scholarship initiatives supporting education and professional training.
He disclosed that at least four people had been trained as pilots through the former governor’s private scholarship scheme, while other beneficiaries had received support to study at universities in Nigeria and abroad.
The family’s visit, according to the spokesperson, was solely to appreciate Bello and provide an update on Faith’s progress.
