Tinubu Has Fulfilled Promises to Kaduna, Says Uba Sani
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has praised President Bola Tinubu for fulfilling commitments on road construction and security, citing federal infrastructure investments and improved access to previously troubled communities.
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has commended President Bola Tinubu for fulfilling promises made to residents of the state, particularly on road infrastructure, security and development projects.
Sani made the remarks on Saturday during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off rally in Kaduna, where he highlighted federal government interventions in the state and the wider North-West region.
Recalling Tinubu’s visit to Birnin Gwari during the 2022 presidential campaign, the governor said the area was then severely affected by banditry, kidnapping and other security challenges.
He noted that the President had promised to reconstruct the Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road and work towards restoring security in the area.
“Today, I can assure you that the two promises you made have been fulfilled,” Sani said, referring to the road project and improvements in security.
The governor disclosed that about ₦117 billion had been released for the reconstruction of the 123-kilometre road, which he said had remained neglected for decades. He added that improved security had made travel along the route easier for residents and other road users.
Sani also highlighted other federal infrastructure projects, including the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano expressway reconstruction and ongoing work on the Western Bypass in Kaduna.
He expressed appreciation for the Federal Government’s support for development initiatives in the state, particularly projects intended to improve transport links and facilitate economic activities.
On education, the governor commended Tinubu for interventions supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds in the North-West, describing education as essential to expanding opportunities and improving livelihoods.
He also cited federal support for agriculture and infrastructure as important to the region’s economic development, noting that better roads and improved security would help farmers transport produce to markets.
Sani urged Nigerians to assess political leaders based on their records in office rather than regional identity. He argued that development projects and measurable achievements should guide voters as they prepare for the 2027 general election.
The governor pledged continued support for Tinubu and called on residents of Kaduna State and other parts of Northern Nigeria to back the President in the forthcoming election.
