Ogogo’s Daughter Debunks Death Rumour
The daughter of veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has debunked reports claiming that the actor has died, describing the reports as false and urging the public to stop spreading fake news. The clarification comes as the actor continues to battle stage-four cancer.
The daughter of veteran Yoruba actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has debunked reports claiming that the 66-year-old actor has died.
The rumour circulated on social media on Tuesday after a Facebook user claimed that one of the actor’s daughters had announced his death.
However, Ogogo’s daughter, Lima Taiwo, dismissed the report as false in a post on Instagram.
She urged members of the public to stop circulating the claim, describing it as fake news.
The clarification came a day after Lima and her sister, Kira Taiwo, made emotional appeals for medical assistance for their father, who is battling stage-four cancer.
Lima had disclosed that the actor’s condition had deteriorated and appealed to medical professionals, hospitals and individuals with access to cancer treatment facilities to assist the family.
She stressed that the family was not seeking financial donations but medical assistance for their father.
Kira also disclosed that Ogogo’s cancer was at stage four and said the hospital treating him had informed the family that it could no longer administer chemotherapy.
She appealed to cancer specialists, hospitals and other medical professionals who could offer treatment to come forward.
The family has continued to seek medical options for the actor while urging the public to disregard unverified reports concerning his condition.
